The Digital Convergence Podcast: A Video Production and Digital Filmmaking Talk Show
The Digital Convergence Podcast is a talk show about video production, digital filmmaking, and digital media content production. Carl Olson interviews digital filmmakers, producers, editors, and post-production experts. He talks about how new cameras, gear, and software are changing the way visual artists, photographers, filmmakers and content producers work. The DCP features DSLR video, photography, time-lapse, video editing, color grading, sound design, motion graphics, audio, digital media production, post-production, and tips on video production business.

In this episode I talk about new products from RØDE Microphone, the amazing new free public domain archive by Pond5, and a brief history of the Moog Modular Synthesizer in movie sound design and film scores.

In the video business success segment, Kris Simmons discusses what to do after the contract is signed for your next video gig. After the initial elation of getting the deal wears off, the reality of actually doing the work sets in. Kris tells us how to make sure we get our video assignment off to a good start with our client.

In Episode 140 I talk about film and television production in Georgia. My home county - Douglas County - has been the destination for a number of feature films. The metro Atlanta area has seen several productions including most recently The Nice Guys starring Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. I talk about why Georgia is quickly becoming the second Hollywood and what it means for video production pros today.

This episode features the first segment on taking your video production business to the next level with video business success coach Kris Simmons - founder of KRE8insights and 6StrongMedia.

I talk, too, about how Patreon can help creatives raise funding for content they produce.
